Our Energy Saving DRYVac™ Hydrocarbon Vapor Emission Control Systems

As the name DRYVac™ hints, our vacuum pumps don’t use troublesome seal fluid. They are dry instead; completely dry! 21st century engineering replaces seal fluid with high-tech, Teflon coated, high tolerance single and variable pitched rotors that never touch. This means longer life and fewer maintenance problems. And, since there is no liquid for the vacuum pump to move, you also get an automatic 30% horsepower reduction, so you can count on a minimum of 30% savings in electric costs with DRYVac™. Plus, no seal fluid. No seal fluid separator, no heat exchanger, no circulating pump, no level and other seal fluid controls. Simply simpler!

And, there’s more. Every other part of the DRYVac™ system has been optimized to make it simpler and more efficient too. The absorber tower distributor is engineered to assure better absorbent distribution, improving recovery. The vacuum pump and the return pump are driven by induction duty motors controlled by VFDs which reduce energy, up to a total of 50% or more, depending on your loading profile!

Then there’s the ESP™ operating software. ESP™ optimizes all DRYVac™ operations, using dedicated PID loops to make process and system management decisions. Each loop is controlled by real-time inputs from instruments measuring the temperatures, pressures, flows, and hydrocarbon concentrations in the entire process. No other vapor control system comes close to this level of instrumentation! DRYVac™ is literally smarter and more reliable. But we didn’t stop there! We optimized the system with our new and better FlowMax™ carbon. This specialty carbon is harder. It doesn’t dust like the granulated types. It is also 30% more dense, so you get 30% more carbon per cubic foot. More carbon means more adsorption and more operating “cushion”. And, because of its shape, it lowers pressure drop. This means you can load more product and still get great results!
